“ Banh mi sandwiches for $8 as of Aug 2024 - good sized portions. Bread was fresh and crunchy. Ordered the bbq pork and steamed pork w/ pate (#2) - pate was delicious & they did not skimp on the meat! ”
“ My go to place for banh mi. I'm however, one of those weirdos who want just a pate sandwich with all the veggies. They really do pack it on and the pate is absolutely delicious. They also sell little plates to go and have a hot cabinet of different foods which are equally as delicious. They also make beef jerky and sausage, which is also very good. (Definitely cook the sausage when cooking your rice in the rice cooker. So good!) I would eat these sandwiches every day! (That and because I really like their pate ) They're also open early, which is amazing because when you get a craving for banh mi at 6am, they are open! ”
“ Yum, that bread. I've had the BBQ pork here twice (delivery at about 10 dollars, less in store as far as I remember). The bread is soft, fluffy, and crunchy, even 20 minutes out due to delivery. They use a generous amount of mayo, which I love. I didn't care for the BBQ pork but it wasn't bad. The veggies were yum, and I wished I tried one of the sandwhiches with pate. Another time! ”
“ Really good sandwiches here. I just tried this place and got the grilled pork sandwich (banh mi thit nuong). Overall, a decent and authentic sandwich. At first, I did not think the sandwich would be amazing. Based on the aesthetics, the color of the meat looked more pale. Personally, I would always think that a darker and charred looking piece of meat is more appealing. However, the meat tasted good. It was not extremely savory and packed with a lot of flavor, but it tasted good and standard. I like the cuts/slices of the pork as well. There was a decent amount of fat on it as well, but not too much. The fat tasted good. The texture of the fat was soft. Not chewy at all. The bread was good. When you bite into the bread, you could see the dough inside. You could tell that the dough has risen properly. The bread is soft, fluffy, and chewy in a good way. A soft chew. When you compare this place to Lee's Sandwiches, the bread at Lee's is overtly hard and crunchy. You don't want that. The bread should be soft. The crust could be crispy, but Thanh Huong's crust is not crispy, which is fine. When comparing this to Duc Huong, Duc Huong's bread is better. However, perhaps it is because Duc Huong has garlic bread, and the bread feels oily or buttered. Sometimes, you don't want that. Thanh Huong is a place where you would go to, to get an authentic and decent sandwich. It passes the test overall and it makes you satisfied. As I was eating the sandwich, the flavors and texture felt better than average. It's not boring. So I give this place a 4. Would definitely come back. ”
“ Best viet sandwich in the South Bay!! I got the classic banh mi thit nguoi (cold cuts) and my cousins got a cooked meat sandwich. They were DELICIOUS--cousins were also pleasantly shocked. Better than Lee's (commercialized, thin baguette) and Thanh Huong (I really like this place too) but the bread here is SO fresh and airy and delicious. We all loved the bread. Meat ratio was top tier, wish I had more veggies (lol). Coffee was also strong and delicious. Service was good--workers are straight to the point and quick. Ambiance could be better but it's a typical lil viet shop/"corner store" I'd say where they sell food but also pre-packaged foods here and there. They had seating and AC so cant complain! ”
